On August 15, Mario Alberto Ishii, the mayor of Jose Clemente Paz (referred to as Jose Paz) led his group to Xiangyang to visit the production of new energy cars and the urban public transportation operation companies of Xiangyang to promote communications on strengthening economic and trade cooperation and on establishing closer sister cities.  

At the Smart Dispatch Center of the Xiangyang Public Transport Group, Ishii’s group carefully learned the information technology construction of urban public transportation in Xiangyang through scene demonstrations including observing the smart dispatching of public transportation, the information technology investigation of security risks, and the smart management of public transportation enterprises. Ishii said that the construction of public transportation informatization has greatly improved the efficiency and safety of the urban public transportation network, providing numerous conveniences for urban modernization development and civil life. Jose Paz will learn from Xiangyang’s success in strengthening cooperation between the urban public transportation operation companies of the two cities, and actively bring in advanced technologies and high-end talents from Xiangyang to build information application scenarios and improve infrastructure support to realize high-quality development of the urban public transportation.

At Xiangyang Tenglong Automobile Co., Ltd. and the BYD Xiangyang Industrial Park, Ishii went deep into the front line of enterprise production to learn the latest production technology for new energy vehicles and mainstream products and try vehicles. He said that with unique advantages in energy conservation and environmental protection and economy, the new energy vehicles will dominate the market. Through many years of effort, Xiangyang has formed a relatively leading technological system and mature industrial clusters, worth learning and referencing for Jose Paz. Based on widely introducing mature products, Jose Paz will carry out technical cooperation and project co-construction with Xiangyang to establish a new energy vehicle industry system to promote the transformation and upgrading of the automotive industry of Argentina.

Moreover, Ishii’s group visited the Xiangyang Ancient City. He mentioned that it was the third time that he visited Xiangyang, and each time he came, he was impressed by the great change carried out by Xiangyang. He hopes that these two cities can continuously deepen friendship and share experiences related to social governance and urban construction to realize complementary advantages in fields such as culture, education, science, and health and strengthen the exchange and cooperation between advanced manufacturing and modern agriculture to promote the relationship between the two places to a higher level.
