Xiangyang’s Winter “Village Gala” Commences with Passion

Xiangyang Daily (Zhang Yating, the All-media Journalist, and Xiong Wei and Xu Yinuo, the Correspondents) At 19:00 on November 28 (this Friday), the 2025 “Jing-Chu Four Seasons Village Gala” Xiangyang’s Winter “Village Gala” Demonstration Showcase will take place at the Guanjia Lane Cultural and Leisure Block in Xiangcheng District, Xiangyang, Hubei Province. The event will blend parade performances, music, theater, and a bustling market, inviting citizens to join in and experience the unique charm of winter in Xiangyang.

The event, themed “Xiangyang’s Melody Covering Ancient Alleys and Lights Reflecting on the Hanshui River,” is hosted by the Xiangyang Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the People’s Government of Xiangcheng District. It is organized by the Xiangyang Mass Art Museum, the Xiangcheng District Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and Hubei Xiang Investment Real Estate Co., Ltd., with support from the Xiangcheng District Cultural Center.

The entire performance has been meticulously planned, offering a variety of highlights across three major features. Reimagining Traditional Culture with Contemporary Flair: Centered on the China-chic aesthetic, the event incorporates immersive parades and innovative Chinese music, transcending traditional boundaries to seamlessly blend heritage with modern fashion. Experiencing Local Culture through Wuxia Elements: Drawing deeply from the rich cultural heritage of Xiangyang, performances encompassing singing, dancing, vocal mimicry, and theatrical sketches vividly bring to life the chivalrous tales found in Jin Yong’s novels, all set against the stunning backdrop of its landscapes. Appealing to all and Celebrating Together: this event guarantees not only artistic allure but also entertainment value. The vibrant marketplace fosters a lively and approachable atmosphere, culminating in a cultural celebration that is accessible to all.

The program lineup includes the opening parade “China-Chic March”, the vocal mimicry performance “Hundred Birds Compete in Singing over Jingzhou and Xiangyang”, the female vocal piece “The Essence of Water”, the dance performance “King Dancer”, and the theatrical sketch “Chivalrous Xiangyang.”

This gala will feature selected performances from institutions, including the Xiangyang Mass Art Museum, the Guanjia Lane Cultural and Leisure Block, Hubei University of Arts and Science, Xiangyang Vocational and Technical College, and the Xiangcheng District Cultural Center.
