On October 23, over a hundred square dance enthusiasts joyfully performed along the Ancient City Wall of Xiangyang, stretching from Linhan Gate to Mrs. Han City Wall in Xiangcheng District, Xiangyang, Hubei Province. Their lively display drew many tourists, who eagerly appreciated and participated in the festivities, turning this area into a scenic route.

This event is hosted by the Xiangyang Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, organized by the Xiangyang Sports Center in collaboration with the Xiangyang Square Dance Association. It serves as a preparatory training session for the 2025 “Double Ninth Festival” National Fitness Theme Event (Xiangyang Station), promoting respect for the elderly and advancing national fitness initiatives. On October 27, Xiangyang will also host a provincial-level Double Ninth Climbing and Walking event, along with the launch ceremony for the Xiangyang senior sports meeting.
