On February 23, the seventh day of the first lunar month, the journalists entered the production workshop of FinDreams Battery (hereinafter referred to as “FDB”) in Xiangyang, Hubei Province, and observed autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) operating continuously back and forth, while robotic arms performed precise, uninterrupted motions, collectively generating a dynamic and highly efficient production environment.

“As a key supplier of BYD’s power batteries, we have maintained continuous operations throughout the 2026 Spring Festival to ensure the stability of the industrial chain,” Yin Juelin, General Manager of FDB, told the journalists. During the holiday, FDB operated at full capacity to fulfill orders, with average daily electricity consumption reaching 800,000 kilowatt-hours. Daily output of blade batteries alone approached 100,000 units.

In the battery cell assembly workshop, globally leading production lines ran efficiently. Six-axis collaborative robotic arms, operating with millimeter-level precision, fed electrode cores into the lamination and thermal sealing process. After passing high-voltage impact testing, qualified electrode cores were swiftly transferred and precisely inserted into one-piece molded aluminum casings. The entire process flowed seamlessly, with a single battery rolling off the production line in just three seconds.

On the digital display board, over one hundred key production parameters are updated in real time, clearly showing the operating status of each production line. At 9 a.m. every day, Yin conducts comprehensive inspections of the 16-blade battery production lines to ensure the smooth and stable operation of this massive intelligent manufacturing system.

Meanwhile, FDB continues to expand its overseas market presence. After two years of cultivation, its products have performed well in South Asian and East Asian markets, earning unanimous praise from customers. In 2025, its export value surged by 165 percent year on year, making it the largest exporter in Xiangyang.

Entering 2026, FDB has secured ample overseas orders and faces a heavy production schedule. Before this year’s Spring Festival, overseas orders saw a sharp increase. To meet the differentiated requirements of various countries and regions in battery specifications, driving range standards, and vehicle compatibility, FDB’s engineers have been stationed on-site at the workshops, closely monitoring production and responding promptly to any need. Their goal is to ensure that batteries “made in Xiangyang” are the most suitable and reliable products for customers worldwide.

“The strong development momentum of FDB is inseparable from Xiangyang’s efforts to optimize its business environment and ensure reliable supplies of essential production factors such as water, electricity, and gas,” Yin said. In 2026, FDB will continue to forge ahead with determination, bringing batteries “made in Xiangyang”  to the global market and injecting powerful momentum into Xiangyang’s ambition to become a regional center city for development in central and western China.
