On August 17, the Taiping Green Energy Photovoltaic Base in Zaoyang City, Xiangyang, Hubei Province, basked in the morning sun. In recent years, Zaoyang City has developed 3,000 mu of photovoltaic power generation projects and established 60 wind turbine power generation initiatives in the Kanghe Village area of Taiping Town, effectively utilizing the mountainous terrain. It was reported that at 13:51 on July 2 of this year, Xiangyang’s new energy output reached a record high for the third time this year, peaking at 3.243 million kilowatts. This figure accounted for an impressive 104.24% of Xiangyang’s concurrent load of 3.111 million kilowatts. On that day, the regional power grid successfully achieved full operation with green electricity.
