On March 28, Wushang Group announced its plan to invest 1 billion yuan in constructing a new mall, the WS Dream Plaza, in Xiangyang, Hubei Province. This development will cover a total construction area of approximately 124,000 square meters and is strategically situated at Chunyuan West Road and Hanshui River Road in Fancheng District, Xiangyang. The initiative is to leverage the business advantages inherent in the shopping center format, enhancing regional market competitiveness and fostering sustainable development momentum. Additionally, it aims to solidify the Wushang Group’s leading position in the regional market. Construction for this project is expected to begin later this year, with an anticipated opening date set for late 2027.

This project represents a significant initiative to attract investment in Xiangyang and constitutes a critical strategic development for the Wushang Group in northwest Hubei Province. In addition to planning and constructing a comprehensive commercial center, Wushang Group will establish a regional headquarters in Fancheng District. Upon completion of the project, Wushang Group plans to relocate the existing Wushang Mall (Xiangyang) from Minfa Plaza to this new complex. Building on the “WS Dream Plaza,” the group aims to introduce diverse business formats, creating a multifunctional commercial center that integrates shopping, dining, entertainment, leisure, and social activities.

The project adopts a “one center and one headquarters” model by establishing its commercial complex, introducing high-end formats, innovating business models, and implementing digital transformation. This approach further consolidates the Wushang Group’s commercial presence in Xiangyang and the broader Hanshui River Basin, significantly enhancing surrounding industries’ development and consumption. Ultimately, it aims to achieve mutual benefits and a win-win situation for government entities and enterprises.

Fancheng District has established a new command center for the WS Dream Plaza project to accelerate the preliminary construction phase. This initiative is designed to provide comprehensive “one-stop” services, ensuring efforts are directed toward facilitating the project’s early commencement, ongoing construction, and eventual production. The ultimate objective is to make the WS Dream Plaza a distinguished commercial landmark and brand in Xiangyang.
