On April 23, the journalist learned that to enrich people’s leisure and travel options, major scenic areas, cultural tourism blocks, and tourism complexes across Xiangyang have made careful preparations. A variety of featured activities will be launched in a concentrated manner, including live-action Three Kingdoms performances, grand Tang-style night shows, immersive Xianxia and Wuxia experiences, and parent-child leisure and entertainment programs. Together with a series of preferential policies such as ticket reductions and special package deals, Xiangyang aims to create a May Day cultural and tourism feast featuring diverse offerings, rich experiences, and affordable services.

Longzhong Scenic Area: From May 1 to 5, it will launch the full-park live-action Three Kingdoms script-based experience “Encountering Zhuge Liang: Traveling the Longzhong Scenic Area Thoroughly.” Visitors can draw lots to join one of the three factions—Wei, Shu, or Wu—and begin the experience with assigned identities. The original stage play “Encountering Zhuge Liang” and the interactive program Three Kingdoms Fun Fair will also be presented.

Tangcheng Scenic Area: From May 1 to 5, activities include the live-action performance “Dream of the Great Tang Dynasty,” robot shows, a flying “huge legendary turtle” parade, an intangible cultural heritage iron-blossom display, and a large-scale immersive role-playing game “‌Succeeding in the Imperial Examination‌” for 10,000 players. On May 1, 10,000 gold ingot mystery boxes will be distributed to visitors.
