Xiangyang Daily (Chen Shuang, the Journalist, and Lu Yifan and Li Xin, the Correspondents) On March 30, the journalist learned that the “Flowers in Every Corner of Xiangcheng” 2026 Spring Cultural and Tourism Season will open on March 31 at the Longzhong Scenic Area in Xiangyang, Hubei Province. With flowers as the medium and culture-shaping tourism, this year’s event will closely link Xiangcheng District’s spring landscapes across the entire area, creating a vibrant cultural and tourism feast that will run throughout the season.

Xiangcheng District boasts abundant cultural and tourism resources. To date, it is home to nine A-level scenic spots. This district is not only among the “top ten most popular tourist destinations” in Hubei Province’s “Home to wonders,” but also a provincial-level comprehensive tourism demonstration zone. In recent years, the district has continuously optimized its tourism product offerings through innovative thinking and established a distinctive cultural and tourism Intellectual Property (IP) system. Centered on the Three Kingdoms culture, it has developed the Longzhong Scenic Area—located on the historic farmland associated with Zhuge Liang—into a national 5A-level tourist attraction and a nationally designated scenic spot. Anchored by the core IP “Xiangyang’s Good Days and Scenic Beauty in Xiangcheng,” the district regularly hosts themed events such as “Flowers in Every Corner of Xiangcheng” and “Fragrance Permeating Xiangcheng,” consistently enhancing and refining Xiangcheng District’s cultural and tourism brand identity.
The “Flowers in Every Corner of Xiangcheng” 2026 Spring Cultural and Tourism Season will integrate the culture of the Three Kingdoms period with the breathtaking spring flower landscapes, launching the themed series “Encountering Zhuge Liang.” Through various forms such as scenario-based performances, themed photo spots, and immersive interactive experiences, visitors will stroll through seas of flowers, enjoy the charm of spring, connect with thousands of years of cultural heritage and tradition, and gain a unique cultural experience.

Xiangcheng District has also meticulously developed a diverse range of “Flower Appreciation+” cultural and tourism offerings, leveraging the distinctive characteristics of the spring blooming season to enrich the flower-viewing and travel experiences of both residents and visitors. At Huangjiawan Scenic Area, the Flower Appreciation Festival will run through late April. The 4th Rose Festival at Beijinshu Art Zone is set to commence shortly, integrating “flower appreciation, classical culture appreciation, and nostalgic experiences.” A newly launched flagship venue—the “Xiangfan Old Tea House”—has opened, complemented by a jade antique art exhibition, further advancing the deep integration of culture, commerce, and tourism. In the Wolong Rose Sea, various rose cultivars are poised to enter their peak blooming period, offering citizens and tourists a unique and immersive spring tourism experience.
